WFS
WFS (Web Feature Service) is an OGC standard to retrieve, filter, and sometimes edit geographic vector features over the web. You receive geometry and attributes (GML, GeoJSON), not just an image like WMS.
PDOK and Kadaster offer WFS for BGT, BAG, BRK, and other layers. Essential for selection, analysis, download, and integration in GeoApps or desktop GIS. Supports bbox queries, filters, and feature IDs.
WFS is not WMS or a non-OGC REST API, though modern implementations are REST-like. For large extracts, paging, bbox limits, and caching matter for performance.
