WebGIS
WebGIS are GIS applications that run in the web browser without local installation. Users view maps, search objects, draw, measure, and sometimes analyze via the internet — on desktop, tablet, or phone.
Technically: HTML5, JavaScript map libraries, WMS/WFS/REST from PDOK and own servers. GeoApps is a web GIS platform with multiple apps (Viewer, Dashboard, Fieldwork) on the same geo infrastructure.
WebGIS is not desktop GIS or a static map image alone. It offers interaction and often multi-user access; offline and heavy batch analysis often remain desktop or server tasks.
From theory to practice: GeoApps offers user-friendly GIS solutions to get you started right away. Discover how our apps and platforms help you visualize, analyze, and share geographic data.
