Spatial Data
Spatial data is information where location and shape are essential: where something lies, how large it is, how it relates to other objects. Vector data and raster data are the two main forms.
In the Netherlands spatial data includes BAG, BGT, BRT, BRK, orthophoto, internal GIS layers, and sensor data. Each object or cell carries geometry and often attributes; CRS fixes its place on Earth.
Spatial data is not generic "data" or tables alone. Without a spatial component there is no map and no GIS analysis.
