BGT
The BGT (Basisregistratie Grootschalige Topografie — Large-Scale Topography Key Register) is the national register of detailed topography at 1:500 to 1:1000 scale: roads, paths, water, rail, buildings, vegetation, and structures with fixed geometry and object types.
Municipalities and water boards are data owners; delivery and validation follow standardized workflows. Available via PDOK as WMS and WFS; widely used for environmental planning, permits, and precision GIS.
The BGT is not the small-scale BRT background map or the BAG (addresses/buildings). BGT objects represent the physical world on the map to which many other layers attach.
