What is WFS?

Web Feature Service (WFS) provides access to geographic objects and their attributes through a standardized interface. Unlike WMS, which delivers map images, WFS provides access to actual geographic data.

GeoApps can connect to external WFS (layers in the viewer) and publish its own layers as WFS via Layer Services. So you connect external feature data into GeoApps or expose GeoApps data to other apps.
