Geospatial software
Geospatial software is the broad category of programs for processing, analyzing, and presenting geographic and spatial data. It includes GIS software, map viewers, ETL tools, field apps, and dashboards with map components.
Examples: QGIS and ArcGIS (desktop), GeoApps (web platform), FME (integration). Geospatial software may be on-premise or cloud-based and connects to PDOK, databases, and business systems.
Geospatial software is not identical to GIS software: the latter is the core GIS toolset; geospatial software is the umbrella including viewers, portals, and specialized apps. "Software" alone is even broader.
