Geometry
Geometry is the spatial shape and position of an object in a coordinate system: Point, LineString, Polygon, MultiPolygon, or 3D variants. Without geometry there is no location on the map.
Geometry is stored with precision and topology rules (closed rings, no self-intersection). In the Netherlands often RD New for registries; web clients often display WGS84. Validation is part of data quality and audit.
Geometry is not the same as attributes (name, type) or CRS. Coordinates are the numbers; geometry is the structure (for example a polygon as a point sequence). Geoprocessing works on geometry.
