Ahmed is from Pakistan and earned his MSc in Geo-Information Science at the University of Twente (ITC), together with colleague Houri. Since then he has worked as a fullstack geospatial software engineer, with experience in Germany, the Netherlands and Pakistan. He builds geo solutions: from data pipelines to APIs and interactive map applications, with experience in both commercial and open-source tooling. At MapGear he works within Team GeoApps on robust geo applications that make complex spatial data accessible and usable for municipalities, water boards and environmental services. In his free time he enjoys travelling, with a fondness for mountainous landscapes and alpine routes, and he follows Formula 1 closely.
