What is it?
National Postcode Areas is a comprehensive database with geographic and administrative data for all official postcodes in the Netherlands. This dataset is based on the Basisregistratie Adressen en Gebouwen (BAG) and contains polygons (areas) and centroids (points) of all postcode areas. The areas align seamlessly and follow the Dutch road network.
How do you use it?
This product is ideal for visualising data at postcode level. It can be used for defining catchment areas, visualising media coverage, analysing burglary data or displaying the distribution of a customer base. The data is available in both the RD and WGS84 coordinate systems and is available as GIS files (shapefile, GeoJSON, GPKG), as web services (WMS, WFS) or via a GIS viewer, facilitating integration into various systems.
