What is it?
Building Outlines from MapServices is a comprehensive dataset with the outlines of all buildings in the Netherlands, based on the Basisregistratie Adressen en Gebouwen (BAG). This dataset contains not only the geometric outlines of buildings, but also associated administrative data such as year of construction, usage purpose and object type. The data has been optimised by MapGear experts and provides accurate information for a wide range of applications.
How do you use it?
Building Outlines are ideal for validating data, analysing built-up areas, planning infrastructure and visualising building characteristics. You can use the data for risk analyses, insurance purposes, spatial planning and creating detailed maps. The dataset can be linked to other geodata such as addresses, postcodes and elevation data for comprehensive analyses. The data is available as GIS files (shapefile, GeoJSON, GPKG), as web services (WMS, WFS) or via a GIS viewer, facilitating integration into various systems.
